Pint 1
Wow. The next time I want to to another country all by myself, would you please have the good sense to talk me out of it ? I enjoy being alone, but this is too alone; I don't know anyone. I don't know where anything is. I don't even know what denominations the coins are in, and I can't figure out for the life of me why there isn't a £1 note.
I really like this place--don't get me wrong--but the two times I've gotten lost and three times I've just cried for no reason other than out of sheer frustration would've been much better experiences if I had someone else to share them with. I'm not regretting my decision to come here alone, per se, but I'm definitely wishing someone was here. Maybe I'll get over that when Chris comes down on Friday or when Jesse gets here next week.
So far I've had one pint. I walked by a pub that had a plaque with WAY too much information, and one of the words that popped out at me was "photojournalists". I immediately decided it was worth entering, and upon walking in I found they were playing Johnny Cash (why ? I'm not complaining, I'm just curious... that's what the English listen to ?) so I sat and had a pint and sketched. I think that pint was for you, Dan. The next one is for the Foo Fighters cos the radio won't stop playing them and/or it's still 1998.

sorry you're alone. if it's any consolation, jesse seems pretty excited about getting over there.
by the way, i think the denominations of the coins are presbyterian, baptist and episcopal. they don't allow the non-denom's in there because they refuse to be reminded of their history.
if you find any quakers, let me know.
Hey wanna get coffee...in London? J/K!!!
Love you! Next time you get lost start yelling totoro!!!
