9. My Favorite Thing To Come Home To

I love my dog. I named her Dottie, after the Get Up Kids song "I'm A Loner Dottie, A Rebel", which is of course a quote from Pee Wee's Big Adventure. According to Pryor, TGUK's drummer had a little fling with a girl from Texas and the song's title is a reference to song "The stars at night/are big and bright/deep in the heart of Texas" which appears in Pee Wee's Big Adventure. I knew that when I named her, but my dad didn't like any of my other suggestions and he wanted to call her Nitro or something ridiculous like that, and Dottie seemed like a good compromise.

Isn't she adorable ? She makes it pretty easy to come home at the end of the day.
